Make your writing pop with personality
From boring, stale writing to fun and exciting content people actually want to read — and you actually want to write!
Any of these make you feel seen?
- You’re running a business on your own, responsible for every. last. thing. — sales, accounting, HR, marketing. If there’s a hat for that, you’ve worn it.
- And because of all the time you spend doing…well, everything, when it comes time to write a social media post or a newsletter or *deep intake of breath* website copy, you want to bury your head in your hands and give up on the spot.
- You thought you ditched the standard five-paragraph essay in high school, but the more you write, the more formulaic it feels.
- To top it off, you’re not a formulaic person. You’re interesting! You have fresh ideas! You just don’t know how to get them out when you’re trying to WrItE fOr ThE aLgOrItHm.
- And making matters even worse, you’re starting to feel stalled in your career. There are so many other people doing what you do that there’s no possible way your perfect customer will find you and even if they do find you why would they choose you over the so many other people and what is the meaning of life and if ship captains can marry people at sea can airplane pilots marry people in the air?

You don’t have to have your own Netflix comedy special to perk up your writing.

In fact, you don’t even need to worry about being funny. Funny is not the silver bullet solution to reaching your customers, broadening your audience, or closing more deals. Trying too hard to be funny might actually hurt your chances of doing any of those things.
The one thing you should worry about? You. Remembering you’re a person. You have thoughts and ideas and a unique way of expressing yourself.
That, more than humor, more than perfect grammar, more than Ryan Gosling (okay, maybe not more than Ryan Gosling) is what people want to read.
Stories are remembered up to 22 times more than facts. And, even better (for our purposes, that is), functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) shows that when evaluating brands, customers rely on emotions rather than information like features and facts.
What does all that mean? It means that making people feel something is essential. And you know what are notorious for their lack of feelings? Robots. But fortunately, we are humans! Now it’s time to write like it.
Introducing… write wild
Reclaim your relationship with writing, feel like yourself again, and win more business doing it.
By enrolling in this program, you’ll learn how to:
- Identify your tone and find the middle ground between lawyer writing about torts and 22-year old sharing her super cool Taylor Swift-inspired #FitCheck weekend outfit.
- Incorporate your personality in your writing — making your writing process 100 times easier and your results 100 times better.
- Present yourself and your business online in a way that will have customers knocking down your door (real or virtual).

Remember what it feels like to be a real person. Then start writing like one.

This course contains 10 lessons, each introducing a new concept or way of thinking about writing that you can use to transform your content. There will be prompts along the way so you can start using what you’ve learned immediately to make your writing pop, sizzle, and delight with the best of ‘em!
These lessons will teach you:
- A simple technique for adding levity to otherwise dull copy. You can use it anywhere you write — blog posts, social media, website, belated thank you cards to your second cousin once-removed, the world is your word oyster.
- How to use AI without it sounding like you used AI (hint: it’s all about your own personal flair).
- Places you can incorporate your fun new writing style that you would never think of — but that can go a long way towards skyrocketing those sales figures.
- A super-important, drop-everything-and-read-this trick for eliminating jargon from your writing and replacing it with *pizzazz*!
Make your writing sound like you — and win more devoted fans in the process
Write Wild is an email course, meaning that it will be distributed…wait for it…via email.
To give you time to read each lesson and take some time practicing the concepts shared, emails will be sent once a week on Friday mornings. The lessons will include:
- An introduction of a new technique to make your writing pop and sizzle
- Examples of the technique in action to help the concepts latch on
- A writing prompt so you have an outlet for all the new ideas fluttering around in your little grey cells (I’m just now realizing that I likely default to the British spelling of grey because I read too much Agatha Christie as a kid. Who knew?!)

This class is still in beta. I have grand plans for her in the future — gorgeous, glossy PDFs; an extended curriculum; maybe even asynchronous video if I can overcome my lifelong fear of speaking, recording, and disseminating said recordings.
But this is the ideal time to join because once I soup up this course, you’ll get full access to all the bells and whistles at no extra cost.
So register now! In just a few short weeks you could be:
- Swooning over your new About page copy
- Rolling around in a fat pile of money you made from your latest sales email
- Using the British spelling of words like grey and theatre because your writing class instructor was maybe not-so-secretly obsessed with being British when she was a child
- Twiddling your thumbs because you are now a writing god who can pump out pieces of content in no time and can’t figure out to do with all this extra time you have
Want to know a little about the person behind this course?

I’m Liz, a freelance marketer, dog mom, and cocktail enthusiast.
My parents were both English teachers, meaning that not only have I learned to endure countless grammatical corrections while trying to tell a simple story about my weekend, I also have a deep appreciation for the power of words. Words can do almost anything — tell a story, convey a point, deepen a relationship, end a relationship…their power is endless.
I’ve worked in marketing for over a decade, starting as an unpaid intern at a nonprofit in Washington, DC before eventually finding a way to get paid to work at a nonprofit in DC.
In late February 2020, I decided to take a pause from the 9-5 life and figure out what was next. And wouldn’t ya know it, “what was next” turned out to be a pandemic. Just as I’d planned.
So with nothing else to do, I adopted a dog and started trying to make my way as a freelancer. Fortunately, it stuck. I’ve spent the last four years helping small businesses and entrepreneurs tell their stories through digital marketing. I design websites, develop strategies, and, you guessed it, write…just about anything.
My favorite part about accidentally falling into a career as a freelancer is getting to work one-on-one with people who are building a business. And that’s exactly what I hope to achieve with this course. I want to share my ideas, tricks, and dirty little secrets of writing with you, to help you take your business wherever you want it to go.
Frequently Asked Questions
I dunno…I’m still not sure that my people will appreciate this. They wear button downs and ties and…slacks!
They will! Even slack-wearers like a little personality every now and then. If you do work in a more traditionally straightlaced field, the trick will be figuring out how much personality is good and how much personality is cover-my-ears, close-my-eyes too much. But don’t worry. We’ll talk about all of that.
What if I have a very intense obsession with AI? Isn’t that enough?
It is not. But before you pull up ChatGPT to write me a bad review, hear me out. You can absolutely still use AI…to get started. But you need your human self to take the writing over the finish line. And that’s what you’ll learn to do in this course.
I’m ready! Let’s go! Will I be able to access this course immediately?
As soon as you register, you will receive your first email to get your creative juices flowing. After that, all emails will arrive weekly on Friday mornings.
What’s the format?
All courses are sent via email. They will include strategies for you to noodle on, examples for you to parse, and prompts for you to word vomit all over.
Eventually, I’m planning to build up this humble little email course into something incredibly fancy and sophisticated (just kidding, I’ve never done anything sophisticated in my life, but I might add some PDFs or video). When I do that, the price is going to skyrocket, but you will have access to all the new additions automatically because you believed in me from the beginning. <3
I’m still not sure. Is there any kind of refund for this thing?
Yes! You can request a full refund up to 14 days after you purchase. Just contact us and include a receipt with your request.
